To discover whether manipulation of Starch Synthase IIIa (SSIIIa) expression can alter starch properties and elevate levels of resistant starch in wheat we have generated a novel set of mutants in the elite bread wheat cultivar Cadenza carrying combinations of null mutations in SSIIIa homoeologues.
